The SWELL Keyboard. The Pipes associated with  this keyboard are enclosed in a box with wooden shutters rather like venetian  blinds which is controlled by the swell pedal. The GREAT keyboard. The most powerful sounds are here and  include the pipes that are visable. Swell Pedal. Controls the shutters on the Swell Box. This is the "Crescendo Pedal"  It gradually introduces more stops  until  the full organ sound is reached Known as Toe Pistons, these allow the organist  to select preset sounds when he/she has no hands to spare! On/Off buttons These are the "Stops" for the Swell Keyboard. They enable the organist to  select the various sounds . These are the "Stops" for the Great Keyboard. They enable the organist to  select the various sounds . These are the "Stops" for the Pedal board. They enable the organist to  select the various sounds for the Pedals. Can't see them here, but its a  large scale keyboard that is played with the feet and generally give the BASS notes. A modern twist. This is a digital recorder.  It enables the organist to listen to  the organ in different parts of the church and check the sound.
