Walthamstow Stadium
Walthamstow Dog track has been sold to a development consortium
led by Yoo Capital and K W Linfoot plc. Falling profits had forced the directors
to sell, although racing continued until the last night on 16th August 2008.
Charles Chandler, whose family have owned the course since it opened in 1933,
said: "The company's operations have become unsustainable." For

The Sixteenth of August 2008 saw the last official night of the dogs at Walthamstow.
